Paso del Istmo Tourism: Recommendations for Roadway Signage from San Juan del Sur to Ostional and Interpretive Panels at La Flor Wildlife Refuge
This project evaluates the current roadway signage from San Juan del Sur to the community of El Ostional and provides recommendations for improvements which will help MARENA, NGOs and local communities achieve their objectives for conservation and sustainable development. It also provides design recommendations for visitor information and interpretive panels at the La Flor Wildlife Refuge, as well as a map of visitor opportunities and services along the road corridor. Detailed sign designs are provided to help guide the development of recommended signs.The recommended sign designs are in accordance with Government of Nicaragua Ministry of Transportation signage guidelines and MARENA signage guidelines for wooden secondary road signs.
