This SBCC Guidebook is intended for use by individuals and organizations in planning, implementing, and evaluating SBCC activities and campaigns to reduce consumer demand for illegal wildlife products or to promote desired conservation behaviors.

The SBCC Demand Reduction Guidebook describes the process of planning, testing, implementing, and evaluating messaging campaigns to curb demand for wildlife parts and products. This guidebook was developed by the USAID Wildlife Asia activity, and is informed by the activity’s work on numerous SBCC campaigns in Thailand and China.
