Webinar Recording: Rewards & Risks Associated with Community Engagement in Anti-Poaching & Anti-Trafficking Efforts
Webinar recording of USAID-funded research on community engagement in combating wildlife trafficking.

As the wildlife trafficking crisis heats up across Africa, communities are increasing being drawn into both sides of the conflict. What are the appropriate ways that communities can be engaged by law enforcement that both protect their safety and also reduce incidence of poaching and trafficking?

In this recording from a Sept 2015 Webinar, David Wilkie of the Wildlife Conservation Society presents the results of research on this topic funded by USAID's E3 Forestry & Biodiversity Office. Findings are based on an analysis of six case studies, a survey of the peer-reviewed and grey literature, and interviews with over 30 content knowledge experts and practitioners.
