Webinar: Tanzania's Trade in Wild Meat: Reducing Risks and Managing Demand
Tanzania legalized the game meat trade in 2020 in an effort to stop illegal hunting, boost its agricultural sector, and provide employment to local communities. In this webinar, staff from TRAFFIC’s East Africa Office joined the Wild Meat Learning Group to share their research on the enforcement of regulations in legal game meat markets in Tanzania conducted under USAID's Wildlife-TRAPS program and on how the USAID-CONNECT project will address demand management in Tanzania towards game meat that is legal, sustainable, and safe.
