Learning Initiative on Social Assessment in REDD+ (LISA-REDD)
A consortium of international organizations formed the Learning Initiative for Social Assessment of REDD+ (LISA-REDD) in 2011.

The aim of LISA-REDD is to provide methods and guidance for assessing the potential and actual social, cultural and economic impacts resulting from the implementation of national and sub-national REDD+ programs and to help key stakeholders design, implement, and build support for effective, efficient and equitable REDD+.

LISA-REDD partners include: CARE International, the Climate, Community and Biodiversity Alliance (CCBA), Conservation International (CI), the Center for International Forest Research (CIFOR), Forest Trends, the Overseas Development Institute (ODI), the International Institute for Environment and Development (IIED) and the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) and its Forests, Carbon, Markets and Communities (FCMC) program.
