Southeast Asia Regional Training Workshop, Bangkok, 5-9 November 2012
In November of 2012, FCMC organized a training workshop in Bangkok, Thailand on Social and Environmental Soundness of REDD+. The event was co-hosted by USAID's Lowering Emissions in Asia's Forests (LEAF) Program with support from USAID's Regional Development Mission for Asia (RDMA).

In November of 2012, FCMC organized a training workshop in Bangkok, Thailand on Social and Environmental Soundness of REDD+. The event was co-hosted by USAID's Lowering Emissions in Asia's Forests (LEAF) Program with support from USAID's Regional Development Mission for Asia (RDMA). It aimed at sharing information and country experiences, approaches, resources and tools for USAID staff and partners, including LEAF partners and representatives of governments, NGOs, and universities working on design and implementation REDD+ programs. The workshop brought together participants from the Philippines, Papua New Guinea, Indonesia, Malaysia, Cambodia, Thailand, Vietnam and LAO PDR. This regional workshop was one of three programs that FCMC will undertake in Southeast Asia, Latin America and Africa.
