From forest-dependent communities to government staff, many stakeholders are in need of comprehensive information to effectively engage in the design and implementation of REDD+ activities. Recognizing this need, members of the Alliance for Global REDD+ Capacity (AGRC) have created The Knowledge and Skills Needed to Engage in REDD+: A Competencies Framework, a single reference that enables readers to quickly understand key concepts, policy benchmarks, technical elements, skills, tools and resources for ten specific REDD+ themes. In addition to covering these ten REDD+ themes, the Framework also provides guidance on designing REDD+ capacity building programs for a variety of stakeholders, with case studies on existing REDD+ capacity building programs. The Framework can also be found on the other Core Partner websites, including Conservation International, CATIE, IUCN, and RECOFTC. "The Knowledge and Skills Needed to Engage in REDD+" application for iTunes is an interactive tool for learning more about climate change, the role of forests and REDD+. This app can be used as a comprehensive reference that enables readers to quickly understand key concepts, policy benchmarks, skills, tools and resources for 10 specific REDD+ themes. The app is based on the publication, "The Knowledge and Skills Needed to Engage in REDD+." The app is available for download here: https://itunes.apple.com/au/app/redd+-competencies-framework/id954575343?mt=8
