Uni. of Pretoria is using DNA profiling to protect rhinos
Rhino poaching in South Africa has increased 9000% since 2007. That’s one of the reasons why Challenge Prize Winner the University of Pretoria is developing forensic data collection systems that can trace rhino horns back to the animals they were taken from and help authorities prosecute the crimes.
