The USAID Biodiversity Policy envisions biodiversity conservation as a foundational components of sustainable development.
The Biodiversity Policy outlines two priorities:
- taking strategic actions to conserve the world's most important biodiversity
- integrating biodiversity with other sectors—such as economic growth, food security, and health—to achieve greater conservation and development results
