Mahasoa, aka "Tsikapy,” keeps track of peanuts purchased from other farmers by the Firaisankina Peanut Cooperative. By working as a cooperative, the member farmers benefit from better prices and a more regular market. And Tsikapy and his family have been able to find new ways of earning income, including raising chickens or running this small kiosk.
